I have a Raptor II Ultra (3") that didn't require any break-in process. A good friends Ultra Carry did require a few hundred rounds to settle in. After about 500 rounds she hasn't had any FTF or FTE issues with multiple types of ammo from weak FMJ target to +P HP's. Keep shooting it and likely it will settle into a high degree of reliability.
