We're using iron sights but my son is having a hard time getting a good cheek weld with ear protection. I thought about one of the slip-on neoprene risers with the adjustable spacers but they look to be for adult-sized stocks. When properly adjusted the cheek riser you should be looking directly into the center of the scope, without the need to move head up or down. Without a cheekpiece, you your neck muscles get tired soon, you look into the scope differently every time and every shot goes to a different place.
