Since last Friday (2023-02-03), I have been having problems with my Verizon Fios CR1000A router. The 2.4Ghz wifi band just stops working, all the devices get disconnected and the router stops emitting in that frequency. The 5Ghz band keeps working just fine though. Verizon sent me a cr1000a wifi6 router that I was going to install but after reading reviews I'm hesitant because folks complaints about issues and speeds. Have you considered or read reviews on the cr1000a? I'm tempted to just keep using the g1100 and put the new router away til there is a possibility I might have to use it.

There's CR1000A and CR1000B. They're basically the same but manufactured by 2 different companies. The A is the one that keeps dropping 2.4GhZ network. I tried to find a B, but none of the local Verizon places have one for me.
