It's plenty accurate though - had no problem sighting it in at 100 yards (no problem with the gun anyways - had trouble seeing the bullet holes at that distance ... I settled on Savage - mostly for the price and reputation for accuracy. It was an Axis II XP in .223 Rem: came with the Savage Accutrigger and a fair 3-9X40 Weaver scope. $314 delivered to my LGS, plus $20 transfer fee. Came with a synthetic stock. My only recommendation would be to go for their hardwood stock now available (wasn't when I got it).
