The recall affected approximately 463,995 trucks and was related to the same issue as the 2016, 2017, and 2018 models – a faulty compressor clutch. The first one I don't think had any locktite on it from the factory and eventually backed the bolt out enough to where the clutch just fell off and the a/c obv stopped working. The stealership told me $1900 to fix it because the needed to replace the entire compressor. So I just got the clutch in a pulley kit off of Amazon for $95.ALinCarolina. Just replaced the condenser in my son's 2017 1500 last weekend. I saw on youtube that it is a known issue at the three spot welds on the sides. replacement units have more welds to distribute vibration.
