Jan 1, 2007 · Hi, I have a similar problem as described above. I have 2009 Accord EX-L with 40K miles. My heat doesn't work on start up and the display despite my effort to increase the temperature drops it to "Lo". The passenger side blows hot heat at the temperature I set. After about 15-20 minutes, I can get heat on the driver side. There are 2 actuators on the passenger side, on for temperature and one to direct air. The temperature one moves when you change the settings up and down. Verify this is attempting to move when you adjust the temperature on the passenger side.The easiest, fastest and cheapest first step to verify this is to add a little bit of refrigerant and check the vents. If you add 1/3 of a can and the cooling is restored to the driver's side, have your system charged correctly and brought to the correct level.
